SPECIFICATIONS:
PLUS A are made from an equal or higher modulus carbon fiber than the Master Pole, and are fitted in the middle of the pole - adding core rigidity where it is needed to the Master Pole as you extend it higher.
Each PLUS Extension adds 8ft 4" EXTENDED LENGTH to your MASTER. PLUS extensions are 'inverted 2-part telescopic poles' which means you fit them into the Master Pole 'upside down'.
PLUS A fits the TACTICAL between sections 1 and 2. PLUS A is a 2/1 extension.
PLUS A is made from HIGH MODULUS CARBON FIBER, the same as the top 60% of TACTICAL.
We have discontinued our PLUS C (formerly 8/7 XT extensions) pole extensions because they add a disproportionate weight to the base of the Master Pole (twice the weight of PLUS A) and load the pole to flex more at the top when it is extended to extreme heights.
In place of PLUS C, we have released SHOCKSTOP , our Insulator Handle made from Kevlar, and weighing less than 1lb.
HOW TO USE PLUS A:
Remember, as PROFESSIONAL Window Cleaners, we know the maximum height we will be extending the pole too, so it is easy to plan which extensions you will need on any one job.
TO FIT PLUS A TACTICAL:
1 Remove section 1 from TACTICAL
2 Pull the yellow handle markings on the lower 'inner' section of PLUS A to expose 6-8" of pole - this sets the 'overlap' that supports the rigidity of your pole at extreme heights. The greater the overlap, the greater the pole rigidity. Close and adjust the clamp.
3 Open the 'top' clamp of PLUS A. insert section 1 from TACTICAL until you feel it stop. This means you have the same overlap as the amount of pole showing at the bottom of PLUS A. Close and adjust the clamp.
4 Raise the pole up, open the lower clamp, and pull the balance of the section 1 out of the PLUS A.
5 To connect TACTICAL, remove sections 4,3,2 from the TACTICAL Master Pole.
6 Open the clamp of section 2, and insert section 1 of the PLUS A into the clamp with a 6-8" overlap.
7 Raise sections 2-7 of the TACTICAL - the total pole is now around 33 FEET actual length.
TO FIT PLUS B TACTICAL:
1 Remove sections 5-7 from TACTICAL
2 Pull the yellow handle markings on the lower 'inner' section of PLUS B to expose 6-8" of pole - this sets the 'overlap' that supports the rigidity of your pole at extreme heights. The greater the overlap, the greater the pole rigidity. Close and adjust the clamp.
3 Open the 'top' clamp of PLUS B. insert section 4 from TACTICAL until you feel it stop. This means you have the same overlap as the amount of pole showing at the bottom of PLUS B. Close and adjust the clamp.
4 Raise the pole up, open the lower clamp, and pull the balance of the section 4 out of the PLUS B.
5 To connect the rest of TACTICAL, put the section 4 of PLUS B into the clamp of section 5 of the TACTICAL until the overlap marking is fully enclosed, then lock the clamp closed.
7 Raise sections 5-7 of the TACTICAL - with PLUS A, and PLUS B the total TACTICAL is now around 45 FEET reach.
TO FIT A SECOND PLUS B TACTICAL:
1 Pull the yellow handle markings on the lower 'inner' section of the next PLUS B to expose 6-8" of pole. Close and adjust the clamp.
3 Open the 'top' clamp of the second PLUS B. Insert section 4 from the first PLUS B until you feel it stop. This means you have the same overlap as the amount of pole showing at the bottom of PLUS B. Close and adjust the clamp.
4 Raise the pole up, open the lower clamp, and pull the balance of the section 4 out of the second PLUS B.
5 Add sections 7, 6, 5 of TACTICAL to the base of the second PLUS B by opening the clamp of section 5, and sliding the section 4 from the second PLUS B until there is 6-8" overlap. Close and adjust the clamp.
6 Extend sections 5, 6, and 7 of TACTICAL to make a pole that is 50 FEET actual length (55ft reach).
TO FIT PLUS A WARRIOR:
1 Remove section 1,2,3 from WARRIOR
2 Pull the yellow handle markings on the lower 'inner' section of PLUS A to expose 6-8" of pole - this sets the 'overlap' that supports the rigidity of your pole at extreme heights. The greater the overlap, the greater the pole rigidity. Close and adjust the clamp.
3 Open the 'top' clamp of PLUS A. Insert section 3 from WARRIOR until you feel it stop. This means you have the same overlap as the amount of pole showing at the bottom of PLUS A. Close and adjust the clamp.
4 Raise the pole up, open the lower clamp, and pull the balance of the section 3 out of the PLUS A.
5 To connect WARRIOR, remove sections 4,5 from the WARRIOR Master Pole.
6 Open the clamp of section 4, and insert section 3 of the PLUS A into the clamp with a 6-8" overlap.
7 Raise sections 4-7 of the WARRIOR - the total pole is now around 46 FEET actual length.
TO FIT PLUS B WARRIOR:
1 Extend sections 1,2,3,4,5 from WARRIOR, including PLUS A if applicable.
Insert section 5 from WARRIOR until you feel it stop. This means you have the same overlap as the amount of pole showing at the bottom of PLUS B. Close and adjust the clamp.
4 Raise the pole up, open the lower clamp, and pull the balance of the section 4 out of the PLUS B.
5 To connect the rest of WARRIOR, take sections 6,7 from the WARRIOR Master Pole.
6 Open the clamp of section 6, and insert section 5 of the PLUS B into the clamp with a 6-8" overlap.
7 Raise sections 6-7 of the WARRIOR - the total pole, with PLUS AB is now around 60 FEET reach.
TO FIT A SECOND PLUS B:
1 Pull the yellow handle markings on the lower 'inner' section of the next PLUS B to expose 6-8" of pole. Close and adjust the clamp.
3 Open the 'top' clamp of the second PLUS B. Insert section 5 from the first PLUS B until you feel it stop. This means you have the same overlap as the amount of pole showing at the bottom of PLUS B. Close and adjust the clamp.
4 Raise the pole up, open the lower clamp, and pull the balance of the section 5 out of the base of the second PLUS B.
5 Add sections 7,6 of WARRIOR to the base of the second PLUS B by opening the clamp of section 6, and sliding the section 5 from the second PLUS B until there is 6-8" overlap. Close and adjust the clamp.
6 Extend sections 6 and 7 of WARRIOR to make a pole that is over 65ft FEET actual length.
To give greater rigidity to WARRIOR at this extreme length, increase the overlap from 6-8" to 12" - each increase in overlap changes the behaviour of the pole at extreme extension. A little time calculating the actual length you need, compared to the actual length you have, can make a big difference to the total control you will have at extreme height, and your subsequent efficiency.
HOW TO USE CONNECT:
You can use CONNECT to :
- Connect SHOCKSTOP to section 4 of TACTICAL (it pulls apart at section 4 for a smaller, lighter pole when cleaning lower windows) or section 5, or section 3 of WARRIOR, giving you a more ergonomic handle, protection against electrical shock, as well as up-to 5 FOOT extension.
- Connect PLUS A and one or two PLUS B together to make a second water fed pole from your extensions.
- 3 Connect SHOCKSTOP to PLUS A and or one or two PLUS B extensions.
HOW IT WORKS:
All sections of CONNECT pull-apart from the other, so it is universal to both TACTICAL and WARRIOR/MOAP Poles:
CONNECT with TACTICAL or WARRIOR/MOAP
- Pull-apart your CONNECT in the same configuration as you pull-apart your TACTICAL or WARRIOR pole.
- Fit your CONNECT to replace the parts of TACTICAL or WARRIOR that you don't want to use.
CONNECT with PLUS A and PLUS B EXTENSIONS:
When using CONNECT with PLUS A and PLUS B, remember PLUS A and PLUS B are inverted telescopic poles - the smaller diameter sections are oriented UNDER the bigger 'coloured' sections.
When using with TACTICAL:
- Extend Section 1 of PLUS A to show the full 6-8" overlap at the bottom. Close and adjust the lower clamp.
- Take section 1 from CONNECT and add it to the 'top' of PLUS A.
- Extend the bottom handle section of PLUS A as required - full extension is an 8 FOOT pole.
- Take sections 2,3,4 of CONNECT, and fit to the extended section 1 of PLUS A. This can be used as a handle in its own right, or alternatively, you can fit GRIP also.
- To fit PLUS B, open the lower clamp, and pull out the section 4 to show 6-8" overlap. Close the clamp.
- Take the coloured section 5 of PLUS B, open the clamp and fit it over 50% of of CONNECT section 4, with 6-8" overlap.
- Extend section 4 of PLUS B to your desired extension. Full extension add 8ft 4" to your reach.
- To add another PLUS B, repeat 5-7, but using another PLUS B instead of CONNECT.
- To add SHOCKSTOP, add sections 5,6,7 of CONNECT to the base section 4 of PLUS B, overlapping 6-8". Add SHOCKSTOP to the section 7 of CONNECT, close and adjust the
